24 September marks the traditional Day of the Sauna. This year, the German Sauna Association has chosen the theme “Preserving Roots, Shaping the Future!”.
This theme perfectly reflects our anniversary year. For a quarter of a century, Carolus Thermen has been an integral part of sauna culture in the Aachen city region, combining cherished traditions with fresh ideas and new developments.
During our Sauna Week from 21 to 27 September, we invite you to join us in looking back on 25 years of wellness and sauna history while also looking ahead to what the future holds. Look forward to infusions inspired by a wide variety of sauna traditions, special themed infusions, and creative, innovative interpretations of well-known classics.

COCOA CEREMONY
SEPTEMBER 24
1:30 PM, 4:00 PM, 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM
Duration: approx. 40 minutes
Treat yourself to a special experience for body and mind: During our cocoa ceremony, you will enjoy a warm drink made from raw cocoa in a calm and mindful atmosphere. Accompanied by relaxation and mindfulness exercises, this unique ritual invites you to experience the present moment consciously and recharge your energy.

SOUND BATH
ON SEPTEMBER 21 AND SEPTEMBER 27
At 8:30 PM
Duration: up to 60 minutes
Immerse yourself in a world of sounds and vibrations: During our sound bath, singing bowls, handpan, gong and other ritual instruments create a unique soundscape that allows body and mind to unwind. The gentle tones can not only be heard but, through the movement of the water, also be felt physically. This meditative experience invites you to leave everyday life behind, open your senses and relax deeply.

SEMINAR: INTRODUCTION TO SAUNA BATHING
ON SEPTEMBER 24

Duration: approx. 30 minutes
On September 24, our sauna master and team leader Petra Müller will once again host an exclusive introductory seminar on sauna bathing. If you have always wanted to learn more about the background and benefits of sauna bathing, this is the perfect opportunity. During this approximately 30-minute seminar, you will gain interesting insights into the health benefits of sauna bathing and receive practical tips for your next sauna visit.

Collect bonus points again in the period from 01.05.2026 to 31.06.2026. Each visit – whether 3.5 hours in the thermal bath or a whole day including sauna – earns you one bonus point!You will only receive the bonus points when you check out at reception. A later entry is not possible. Only the bonus points for one person can be collected on one card.

A classic Finnish sauna, a mild steam bath, a heated bench with foot baths, and a cozy relaxation area ensure a truly special wellness experience.
Just like in the mixed sauna area, we also offer free treatments in the Feminarium.

is student dayYou need a short break from your studies? Then recharge your batteries at the Carolus Thermen on Tuesdays at the student rate.
Students, trainees & pupils from 16 years onwards
pay only 16 euros for admission to the thermal baths and only 32 euros for the sauna world on Tuesdays¹ upon presentation of the corresponding ID. The duration of the stay is not limited in time.
The student rate cannot be combined with other discounts and is only valid on Tuesdays¹.
¹ Not valid on Tuesdays during the Christmas holidays (29 December & 5 January).
